It’s MONDAY! My child is home with me today and we’ve been having a blast! Today is a teacher work day for his school district. We spent the morning cleaning during commercials of our favorite TV shows. They’ve been sitting on the DVR for a week!

I got my kitchen in good shape. We are baking cookies as I type!

I love days like today! I hope yours has been as nice.

So, yeah. So far today I have:

    1) Dislocated my little toe
    b) Re-located my little toe
    III) Burned my thumb
Four) Exploded dinner all over the oven
    iiiii) Burned my hand

Dinner may have made my oven a mess, and may not have LOOKED terribly pretty but WOW was it good!

9 Frozen Grand Butter Flavored Biscuits
    2 lbs ground meat
    Minced Garlic (fresh)
    Tony Chachere’s Cajun Seasoning
1 bottle Kraft Original BBQ Sauce
    Worcestershire Sauce
    Spicy Deli Mustard
    Salsa
    Sliced Cheese

First, let the frozen biscuits defrost. TRUST me on this. Ground meat too. (I did it with frozen ground meat and it took FOREVER to brown it off. GOD. Fail)

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Place biscuits in 9X13 pan. (If you have a pan one size up from this USE IT) Spread them out with your hands until they are all one smooth “crust”.

Season meat with Tony’s, minced garlic and some dry onion. (I didn’t have any onion but it would be a GREAT addition to this.) Brown off meat.

Add Worcestershire Sauce, BBQ Sauce, salasa (we used Habenara Salsa) and Spicy Deli Mustard. (I didn’t measure the Worcestershire or Salsa or Mustard. Just did it to taste. Use the whole thing of BBQ sauce… trust me.)

Layer cheese slices over biscuits. (I used Mexi Velveta and put thick slices of cheese on it because that’s how we roll) Pour meat over cheese and spread evenly.

Bake in 400 Degree oven for 25 minutes.

IF YOU USE A 9X13 PAN PUT A COOKIE SHEET IN THE OVEN AFTER PREHEATING. TRUST ME ON THIS…

The dish is fug… REALY fug but OMG… spicy and sweet and delicious!

    I love food.

I know, I know. This is NOT a surprise to anyone that knows me.

    I love to cook.

Again, not a surprise to those that have talked to me for more than 30 seconds.

I love to cook NEW things.

Not necessarily new to everyone, but things I’ve never cooked before.

Tonight, I made a Hollandaise sauce. I have NEVER tried it before. Yeah yeah yeah… it’s a pretty basic sauce. However, I’m impatient. I don’t do well with things that take a lot of time and caution. I’m all about throwing it in a pot and seeing what it turns out to be!

    HollandaiseSauce2

I got it to work! I did it right! I did NOT make really buttery scrambled eggs!

    **Does Happy Snoopy Dance**

J requested the sauce for some Cordon Bleu that was left over from the wedding. He had never tried it and wanted to give it a go.

He loved it! Better still, I realized I can do the slow cooking as well!

    Sometimes I just need a little… push.

**Disclaimer: I KNOW how bad for you this sauce is. Yes. However, I’m not currently dieting but trying to maintain the loss I’ve had previously.. and that’s workin’ too!**
