hamster-wheel-raceSo… I’ve been eating like crap lately. I admit it. Cheese… LOTS of cheese. Bread… OMG the Bread! Cookies, Apple Cake, Ice Cream… (That was just this weekend!!!!)

My eating has gone off the deep end again. It seems if I don’t keep my eating in the forefront of all thoughts… it goes absolutely out of control! I can FEEL myself gaining back that 18 lbs I lost before the move. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Today I start my no starchy/carby thing again. Back on the fruit and potatoes and off of the bread and rice and junkfood. (Why oh WHY do I always start this RIGHT BEFORE my monthly cycle? It’s like I’m a sadist and a masochist all rolled into one! Blerggh)

    Breakfast: 1 plum

Lunch will be a can of bean soup.

Dinner will be left over Chicken Curry with potatoes and carrots and a salad.

I’ll supplement with other fruit through out the day. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

ETA: Lunch ended up being 2 medium boiled eggs lightly salted and peppered and a bowl of cinnamon oatmeal (not instant) with cinnamon apple sauce added. Unfortunately, the milk was 2% not skim. Meh.

I was shocked a couple of weeks ago by something I found in my email. I received an email from someone at Tungsten Rings Online. Now, I realize spam is a many splendor-ed thing but, it wasn’t spam. They asked if I would be willing to give them a text link on my blog in exchange for one of their rings.

Honestly, at first I thought it was someone scamming me. NO ONE makes offers like this to me. I don’t have any idea how many hits I get on this blog a day. I don’t use a tracking program or anything. However, I suspect my numbers are not great. I never expected to be GIVEN an offer like this.

I, of course, accepted once I realized it was a legitimate offer. I also offered to supply a review of the product I received.

THIS is the ring I chose for myself.

First let me say the picture doesn’t really do the ring justice. It’s a really lovely looking ring. I love the look of the brushed metal bookended with the unbrushed.

It is VERY comfortable. So much so I keep forgetting I have it on. I’ve done dishes with it on numerous times and I don’t normally do that with my rings. (As an aside, the ring shows no scratching or wear from doing the dishes with it on repeatedly. WOOT)

When I requested the ring, I asked for it to be inscribed with the following “Hope Springs Eternal”. It’s my mantra these days and I thought having it engraved on the ring would be a nice reminder to myself when I start getting overwhelmed or falling into a bad mindset. The lovely folks at Tungsten didn’t hesitate with my request and I received my ring about a week ago. (Engraving was not part of their offer originally)

I know their site states they are engagement rings and wedding bands but I sized mine up and wear it on my thumb. :) These rings are quite versatile and can be for whatever you would like.

My suggestion? Check out Tungsten Rings if you get a chance. They have a really nice product and people that are easy to work with!
