I love to read because reading is a great way to learn about strange and useless topics to baffle my wife about in conversations.
She quickly shuts up when she realizes that the conversation is going down down into the deepest depths of Lovecraftian horror where the Old Ones are there to make frighten you until you pee your pants and go insane.
As a bonus, books make a great impromptu coaster when you need to set your steaming cup of that carefully crafted coffee on your coffee table.

Don’t count me….since I have already read this fantastic book twice! I love to read because it is a great escape. It is so much fun to see where someone else’s words can take you and to know that for a few minutes or a few hours you can leave the humdrum blehness of your own life behind!

Interesting that you have just interviewed Claudia- I only just met her through another blog and on Goodreads- had no idea she was becoming a bit ‘famous’! The reason I love to read are many. It helps me to unwind at the end of a busy day. I learn new things. I love the written word better than the spoken word. I enjoy several different types of genre. Sci-fi, romance, murder-mystery. It is my escape from my real life, especially when things are going down the drain.
I enjoy sharing authors with my friends. By sharing authors with my friends, I find new authors to read. That is why I enjoy reading. I have shared my love of reading with both of my daughters.

I have just recently gotten back into reading and have found it as a good way to immerse myself into other worlds and to escape the pressures of everyday.
For me its just a great release and a way to learn new and exciting things as well.

I love to read because it lets me travel to distant, far off places, visit with friends or even solve a mystery. I’ve loved to read my entire life…for me, books are an essential part of life. Like oxygen, food and water, I can’t live without books!
